About

Born in Nagano prefecture, central part of Japan. Studied pottery in Seto city, Aichi prefecture, renowned for its deep history of ceramics.

When I first started pottery,I was inspired by Léonard Tsugouharu Foujita’s “grand fond blanc(ultimate milky white)” paintings.  This sparked my interest in the color white and I have been working with porcelain clay and my own original milky white glaze. This combination of porcelain and glaze produces an aesthetically clean look and a texture which is smooth and inviting to the touch.

It is my mission and passion to create high quality handmade art which I hope you will cherish.I strive to embody the Japanese spirit by putting meticulous care and attention into my craftsmanship.
